On 2-5 July 2017, an international conference themed “Triticale Biology, breeding and production” was held at the Plant Breeding And Acclimatization Institute – National Research Centre. It was organised by EUCARPIA (European Association For Research On Plant Breeding) in collaboration with IFSDAA (International Foundation for sustainable development in Africa and Asia). During the conference, there was a field trip led by PhD. Bogusław Łapiński, who talked about Tritosecale breeding. Also, a visit took place in the NCPGR (National Centre for Plant Genetic Resources: Polish Genebank). The head of the NCPGR, prof. dr. Jerzy H. Czembor gave the guests a tour around the Centre and showed them the molecular labolatory, long-term storage section, herbarium and documentation section.
