Thymelaea passerina Coss. et Germ. (Wilczypieprz roczny) – annual plant from Thymelaeaceae family. It blooms from July to August. It has greenish flowers and black and shiny friut. The plant is pollinated by insects and self-pollinating, sown by the wind. It overgrows fields, roadsides; mainly in the south. Prefers very sunny positions and alkaline soils.
