Ranunculus arvensis L. – Jaskier polny

Ranunculus arvensis L. (Jaskier polny ) – An annual or biennial plant belonging to the family Ranunculaceae. In Poland, it occurs on the lowlands and foothills. It occurs on the fields, balks and fallow lands. It prefers clay and calcareous soils. It has stems raised to a height of 20-60 cm. Leaves undivided on the tip, roughly serrated. The flowers are pale yellow, grow on long, hairy peduncles. Fruits are collected in spherical infructescense. It blooms from May to June and is a poisonous plant.
