Pszonacznik wschodni

Conringia orientalis L. (Pszonacznik wschodni) – An annual plant with a height of 15-60 cm. The leaves are ovate-elliptical and greenish. The plant belongs to the Brassicaceae family. It is a field weed growing in cereal crops on dry soils rich in calcium carbonate. The main threats to this species are the purification of seed and the use of very effective plant protection products. In addition, the introduction of high-yield cereal varieties for cultivation limits the occurrence of weeds. The species, most likely, died out. Franck Le Driant is the owner of the pictures of the species presented in the gallery(www.florealpes.com).
